Almost gave up ! What has my PM been reading or hearing concerning the Great Flood @ Orchard Road of 16th June ?
Who is saying that there should be zero floods ? What we want to know is what has happen since the good work done that apparently went down-the-drain.
Were the authority deaf and blind to the changing Global Climate pattern, the Build up/population imports of late ?
After last Nov's Bukit Timah and the earlier Thomson Road floods, we do expect serious reviews by MND & NEA/PUB. But as usual, the statistics were not significant enough then. That is how demoralised/ hapless I have become.
The writings are on the wall. A wall with hair-line cracks , I may add.

Think positive like our leaders.

This is not the Great Orchard Road Flood.

This is the seasonal Marina Bay - Orchard Road Annex. It gives condo owners along Orchard Road a chance for a waterfront view.

Right! Think positively and floods are not bad for Insurance Companies, at least One put up a full page advertisement just because of floods. The movers get calls for their services to removed damaged goods, cleaning companies were overwhelmed. Shoppers too get to buy great price reduced soiled goods and those at the scenes of floods get to experience and get a taste of what's floods.

And for the technical endowed, new ideas of what caused the floods and how they could be controlled and avoided will be suggested and this will greatly help the Authority in planning infrastructure developments.

one does not need to be an expert on floods to know that there will be more rain in the future and that singapore needs to shore up her coastlines to prevent water from comi ng in
now the question is what is being done before it is too late
