rental is a killer.

if if i am a hawker willingly to take home $1000 per month by selling cheaper, if the rental increase now take home only $500 per month, how to do this type of business.

i have the strength to work but not the money to pay for rental.

cannot do lah, work in macdonalds even better.

so customer sometimes have to understand.

My workplace cafe sells nasi bryani with mutton and veg for $2.50. And it is also filling for a guy like me.

Heard that the stall owners no need to pay rental to the building owner and hence can sell it cheap and good. The building owner is good as they indirectly subsidise the tenants staff meals.

Calling all philanthropic business people
please kindly consider forming a group
to purchase a freehold property to rent out to kind-hearted hawkers
so that Singaporeans can enjoy economical & nice food.

The rental could be based on performance
that means x% of the sales per month
which is fair to both parties.

Perhaps Mr. Tan Kin Lian could benignly consider
chairing such a benevolent group.
