Know what is happening in Singapore

There are many things happening in Singapore that citizens should be aware of. Some of these happenings are negative, and are not covered in the local media, as they only present the positive sides. They are covered by bloggers and are usually well written. You can get updated on these happenings by visiting the General Election portal (SGEP).

For example, there is the case of a young man, borne in Japan with a Singaporean mother, who lived in Singapore since 10 years old and served National Service. He overlooked to make his oath of negligence (as he was not aware about it) and his citizenship is taken away. No one in the civil service is willing to take the responsibility to bend the law and allowed him to retain his citizenship. This is quite typical of behavior in Singapore - no one wants to take the responsibility - not even the Minister!

Be aware of the issues. Read SGEP. At the next general election, ask yourself .... do you wish to see changes for the better?

This is mindset problem.

When a complaint is made, a beautiful letter is done in reply; only to "cover up" the issue internally for the Authority. When you write back to highlight any incoherency, the "sound of silence" begins.

There is no reply after that, even if it is refered to a higher level. Very often, this involves "public service" where a high fee is charged.

The "value" system is totally wrong.

Just wonering for the case involving that Ex-Singaporean who did his NS, which minister will stand up to say the buck stops here ?
Some will believe it the Home Affairs Minister, one or two will even suggest the Law Minister, or even the MCYS.. That is the problem in SIN nowadays. Dare I say, we ALL can act blur ? Seriously, it is time the PM clear the air.

Is there any use?

Even if you write to the PMO, the response and mindset is no different.

I order if such behaviour is a SOP or standing order.

AS commented before, this is very wierd, all because of a Pledge.
Where there is a valid merit to grant citizenship, it is not given,
and when there is not much validity, other than being a famous celebrity with lots of money', a pink card is given readily. Does the smell of money and fame dictate citizenship?
