Someone whom we know said he ever worked for PUB in the water filtering dept, said no membrane however advanced could filter all chemicals from the water.
Yah, bacteria could then be killed
by chlorine and UV light, but chemicals still get through, this is a concern, considering we reuse tiolet water, including urine which contains chemicals from medications used.
Concluding, better to use reputable bottled water for drinking, or use a sophisticated filter ourselves to put our mind at ease. In Singapore, Water, as well our air, is not as clean as we are made to think.
That ex-employee of PUB has no reason to lie, as he is still working for the industry, this time with Hyflux.
