Contest in Tampines GRC -HSK and GMS

Dear Mr Tan
We truly envy the Hong Kong people and what Hong Kong Monetary Authority have done for them. I have watched Channel 8 news 630pm (about 1 week ago) of Mr Heng Swee Kiat in response to Minibond saga that MAS have a vigourous system and most of the investors have their money back,. This is not the answer but a comparison of how a caring authority would do to protect their people when they were being victimised.

I am glad that Mr. Goh Meng Seng, who spoke for the investors at Hong Lim, is now contesting against Mr. Heng Swee Keat, former MD of MAS. I wish to give my support to Mr. Goh of the NSP.

Goh Meng Seng has been my friend for years. Just a brief revisitation of the minibond saga, he was sincerely furious about the injustice and nonchalance of Goh Chok Tong and Heng Swee Kiat at MAS. If not for the pressure TKL and GMS piled on MAS, I doubt there'd be any decent refund.

Whether minibond victim or not, we all should appreciate the efforts of people like TKL and GMS in fighting for public justice.

Minibond investors were not greedy speculators. They were sold on the promise of capital protection for a decent return, not speculators in shares or tech funds.

PAP must be very desperate to field
someone from MAS like Heng, as he is the man that has been on the news, as the MAS man who screwed up the handling of the Minibond saga.
So they have to take a chance on Heng, hoping that people would set aside his "honest mistake" and the people would "move on".
Could not find other "accredicated"
contestants, so bo bian.
Interesting to see how people, both structured products investors and those who were lucky as onlookers, look upon him on May 7th
voting day.

Singaporeans are financially illiterate and suffers from amnesia. It is not likely they can correlate MAS, Minibond and Heng. If they are financially literate and do not suffer from amnesia, why the recent poll showed that the image of banks and insurers are on the upwing?

Hmmm, I think I did this survey a couple months back. I got USD2 for it if I remember correctly. :) Guess I'm one of the minority with very negative image of banks & insurers.
