New rules on evidence

The Ministry of Law is seeking public views on several changes to update the rules on evidence to be submitted in court. I welcome this move to move with the times. It is an encouraging step.

There are many other areas on updating our laws and enforcing our laws. I hope that the Ministry will be more active in these areas, as the administration of justice in Singapore leaves much to be desired.

Maybe the present huh and cry of the abuse of the ISA relating to the Marxist conspiracy of 1987 on flimsy evidence for the arrests got to do with this.
Also the Drug mule case of the Malaysian currently on death row has a part?
Dunno. But maybe another wayang show
again. We are always skeptical of any new moves.

Yah but Mr Kishore Mahubani has not written anything about this. He talks about the lies in one of his articles. He seems to be very quick to comment on the governments of other countries but not about our own internal issues.
