Deleting comments from my blog and Facebook

I delete comments that are downright rude, insulting or defamatory from my blog and Facebook. The people who wrote these comments do not know how to be courteous or respectful. They think that it is their "freedom of speech" to insult other people, and to do it while remaining anonymous.

In some cases, I warned these people in my reply, but they insist on their "freedom of speech". I ban them from my Facebook, so that they can perform their freedom somewhere else. If they are deleted and feel aggrieved, they should reflect if they have been rude and insulting.

There is one terrible person who continues to write to insult me. His favorite expression is "Fatso 5%". I must have received 100 of his insults by now. I do not read the rest of his vitriolic. I just delete it automatically. It may take him a few minutes to write his venom, but it takes me 2 seconds to delete it. A few times, his remarks indicate that he is from NTUC Income. I can probably guess who he is.

There are many people who disagree with me, but they acted courteously, and I allowed their comments to appear in my blog and Facebook. You can read their comments from time to time, because they were not deleted.

Many Income agents are talking bad about you, especially cutting their commission. They praise the new management for high commission and incentive trips to faraway resorts. They also curse you for exposing them about their incompetence and their products.
They are ungrateful . They forgot you gave them a decent opportunity to make a living , to send their children to university and that they are now living in condo and landed property. They are now biting the hands that fed them.

Do u know under this new management the products have become rotten. The latest product to become rotten is the single premium endowment Growth product. The projected return for 10 years is only 2.8% and for 5 years is only 2% and yet the agents continue to push this product to their customers. In real term the returns are negative. The problem is their customers are too trusting and ignorant and let the agents do whatever they like. This is not right. It is not putting the interest of the customers first. All these agents want is commission, the root of the evil.

I have worked for Mr Tan before.

I can affirm that though he may be a tough and demanding boss, he is a fair and reasonable person. This was the main reason why I have high respect for him and willing to step-up to help him when he expressed his intention to run for 2011 Presidential Election.

He has a public heart to serve and uphold justice for the poor and underprivileged.

In a society like Singapore, we should cultivate a skin like the elephant hide.
Having a blog and a FACEBOOK a/c make one a public figure, subjecting oneself to unsavoury, malicious, and vengeful comments, as well as favourable and appreciative comments, depending on what articles the owner posted of which, some may have stepped on the toes of some people.
Obviously, owing to unfavourable assessments by TKL of many new NTUC Income's products, vicious comments from agents of this Insurance Company are expected.
Just ignore those bastards and bitches and delete them. Surely TKL is made of tougher stuff.
Irritating yes, but living in a society like Singapore, yes, life is this irritating.

Just ignore those ungrateful insurance agents. Day of reckoning is near.

Bloggers have the right to delete comments from their blog if they decide to do so. Mr Tan, there is really no need for you to justify yourself. Just do what you feel is right. Anyway, it is your blog.
