I went to an insurance company to buy life insurance directly. The staff told me that it is better to buy through an agent, as the agent can assist me in making a claim. Is this true?

This must be reported to MAS. The staff is telling lies. What this staff is saying it is very difficult to make a claim without an agent. And insurance agents out there are saying this to frighten customers.This is nonsense. He or she is frightening the buyer and MAS must come to know about this.
Which company that you bought the insurance from? Report the person to MAS.
Hey, Mr., report to the regulator the person and the insurer. This is not good,; the industry is still resorting to scare tactics.
